Very twinkly, very sparkly

Random candle pictures I took in a celebratory drunken state over the weekend. 'Cos I'm weird like that.

Someday, I'd like to be this good...

Here are a couple of photographers' sites that I really enjoy spending time on - I could spend hours looking over the same photos and still feel the same each time. Don't ask me what it is I love about photography so much, because I'm not sure! Maybe the emotions and feelings that a photograph can evoke in people. Or maybe the fact that a device can even capture such a thing. Who knows!

Here is the monochrome work of Chema Madoz. I just love the surrealism of some of his work, whilst still using everyday objects and being able to shed a different light on them.

And my second featured photographer is none other than my good friend Attila, who I met at university. This guy has such a feel for anything design related, but his photography is what I'm most envious of! : )

London

A few sculpture images I particularly liked from my recent time down in London.

The most random assortment of photos you'll ever see

A little bit of this, a little bit of that... As you can see, I don't really have a structure when it comes to taking photographs. I like. I snap. Simple! : )

As I've said before, I'm hardly the world's greatest photographer and these images might not mean much to anyone else. But every photo I take is for a reason - whether it's simply to remember a good night, or to be able to evoke what I felt at the time it was taken, all of these mean something to me (except for Robodog - just put it up because it's freaky lol!)

Any comments or suggestions welcome : )

The age-old sunset

I was once told that sunrises and sunsets are the ultimate "No, no, no!" to professional photographers. But I love them, so here are a few of my better attempts!

Winter sun setting above Preston

The sun crashing into the Irish Sea at Blackpool

A winter sunrise from the comfort of my warm bedroom

My other love

Another section to my blog now - I feel like a young mum with many children to tend to! As the name implies, this section is going to be devoted entirely to my own photography and the photography of those who inspire me.

A media that captures the essence of life - feelings, moods and memories - life through a lens. I'm by no means a pro photographer, in fact I'm not even an amateur, but someday I hope to buy myself a stonkingly expensive camera with all the trimmings and really get to grips with it (probably when I'm of retirement age - that's when I'll be able to afford it!).

So please, go ahead and enjoy. Or not. I don't mind : )
